Megalo Papingo lays tucked away among Greece’s

attention, born of a genuine love for guests and place alike.
He prepares the hearty breakfast while she checks out the interiors
with a gorgeous splash of pink blanket or purple kilim, set against
whitewashed walls and wooden floors and ceilings. Dad waters the
roses and veg garden, whose herbs and greens turn up in tomorrow’s
pies - cooked (you guessed it) by mum. You’ll also find cinnamonsprinkled
risogalo and no fewer than nine varieties of homemade
jam on the breakfast table; behind the bar is the best cappuccino in
Zagori. Two of Greece’s most stunning national parks are on your

Papingo is the most beautiful village in the region of Zagori
with a view to the Astraka peak (2436m) and the gorge of Vikos.
The Hotel’s facilities include a parking space, a garden, a bar
lounge with a fireplace for breakfast and seating in general.
The Hotel is made in the traditional way with the use of stones as has
been the case for hundreds of years before.
