Outside: A narrow, private driveway cuts into the hillside and climbs steeply after turning off the unmade agricultural track. Totally private grounds with a swimming pool, natural stone terracing and patio, with furniture. Some stone walling and steps, shrub and flower beds and wild garden area with some original olive and cypress trees. Pergolas and umbrellas for shade. B.B.Q. Parking to the rear of the villa. In less than 10 minutes drive from Agios Nikitas village, the steady climb up the unmade agricultural track, through the picturesque hillside brings you out onto a natural plateau with Villa Thymus sitting just on the edge of a 1 1/2 acre plot of land. From here you can enjoy panoramic views across the olive groves to the sea beyond. The natural adventurer will feel the urge to explore on foot, as it is hard to believe this pretty area exists. Wild herbs are in abundance where cultivated crops and grapevines were once tended on immaculately kept terraces. Small hillocks and olive trees give way to extensive views.

There is a growing demand for totally private villas in their own grounds and Villa Thymus certainly fits the bill. This flexible split level property with its bright spacious living areas has comfortable proportions for larger groups, but also for more intimate occupancy using just one or two of the bedrooms. At ground level, the front door opens into the main living/dining room and through to the kitchen. 3 steps climb up to a corridor with one bedroom, one bathroom and an en-suite bedroom leading off it. A staircase descends to another corridor with one bedroom, one bathroom and an en-suite bedroom. All rooms have French windows that lead onto terraces and patios and extensive views can be enjoyed from each one. There are pretty gardens, flower beds and a patio surrounding the lovely large pool. This is a haven for many; some friends wanting a sunny break away, for a couple wanting a spring time vacation with a little peace, quiet and privacy or for families wishing to utilise the plentiful outside areas for children to run and play. There is no-one in the nearby vicinity to disturb.

Agios Nikitas is a quaint old fishing village with a sheltered bay to swim in at the end of the street. There are a number of tavernas, a couple of mini-markets to buy the essentials and an icecream/cake shop for a treat. A further 5 minutes drive either direction from the village will take you to a couple of beautiful big beaches, lovely to saunter along. Lefkada town is only 20-25 minutes drive away. The difficulty is prising oneself away from the villa for an evening meal. In fact, it is better to enjoy some family time around the B.B.Q with music playing in the background, children swimming in the pool and watch the sun set on a warm summer’s evening.

N.B. Our villa price also includes a 4 WD for up to 5 people for the full duration of your stay and will be collected/returned to the airport. Over 5 persons will require a second vehicle at an additional charge. A complimentary welcome food hamper will be in your villa on arrival.
