Accommodation:
Ground floor: Main entrance into an open-plan living/dining/kitchen area (full cooking facilities) with a fireplace. French windows open onto a balcony with patio furniture. A cloakroom with aWC and wash basin.
Lower floor: A staircase leads down to a small hallway with a built in wardrobe. 1 large double bedroom with French windows that open onto a small patio. 1 twin bedroom with French windows that open onto a patio, 1 double bedroom, en-suite bathroom with shower, and French windows that open onto an adjoining patio. 1 family bathroom with Jacuzzi bath/shower.

Outside:
A traditional village track leads to the villa. Steps descend either side of the villa. Natural stone walls, a number of patios and terraces, shrub and flower beds. Infinity swimming pool. A large olive tree with a shady patio with sunbeds and patio furniture. B.B.Q. All paths, patios and pool are lit at night. SEA AND HILL VIEWS.

Built on the outskirts of a hilltop village called Katouna, it has extensive views over a striking, lush landscape down to the salt plains, the sea and across to mainland Greece. Villa Petra is owned by Dimitris and his wife Fotini. Dimitris is a stonemason by trade and has taken great pride to build his natural stone villa to perfection, with the help of his brothers. We have been familiar with his work for many years and watched with interest as to how he was going to incorporate his skill and culture into Villa Petra. Certainly we have not been disappointed. Internally, the rooms are spacious and comfortably furnished. The main living area is large with a number of interesting features. French windows lead onto a shady balcony where one can appreciate the glorious views. All three bedrooms downstairs have French windows that lead onto the patio to the gardens and infinity pool. The spreading branches of an old gnarled olive tree provide plenty of shade over one of the patios throughout the day. Although located inside this little village, the views are splendid from here. On the other side of the gardens there is a large B.B.Q. with views leading up the channel to the twinkling lights at night of Lefkas town.

A 5-minute stroll around the original donkey tracks will lead you into the village square at Katouna where there is a taverna. A 10-minute drive down the hillside brings you to the charming fishing village of Lygia where waterside restaurants proudly present an array of freshly caught fish. You choose the one you want and they will cook it for you immediately. Lefkas town is only a 15-minute drive. There are markets and shops that offer fresh fruit, vegetables and fish, and supermarkets that sell a range of European goods. The main thoroughfare becomes traffic-free from mid afternoon and a vibrant nightlife begins to emerge with numerous tables and chairs appearing from the tavernas; children riding around on bicycles and local villagers dressing up to come and stroll (volta) and socialise with friends. It has a wonderful atmosphere.

N.B. Our villa price includes a Group C car for the full duration of your stay and will be collected/ returned to the airport. A 2nd car for 6 persons will be at an extra cost.
