Accommodation:
Ground floor: An open plan living/dining/kitchen area (full cooking facilities). The living area has a fireplace and sliding doors onto a patio with patio furniture. 3 steps down to 1 twin bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower, and sliding doors onto a patio. A cloakroom with a W.C. and wash basin. Stairs up to:
First floor: 1 double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower, and sliding doors onto a balcony.
Outside:
Both villas sit on a steep hillside surrounded by wild Maquis and olive groves. A natural stone driveway lined with stone Camelia walls leads to the villa. The patios are laid with a mix of tile and brick, all on one level and overlook a private infinity swimming pool. Little flower beds add colour to the patios. B.B.Q with cloam oven and patio furniture. Parking area. PANORAMIC AND SEA VIEWS.
The owner of these two villas is Kostas Aravanis. He is an architect and can claim the designs of many of the villas in our brochure. Kostas has an eye for incorporating details synonymous to Lefkadian architecture and design; past and present, with the fashions and demands of modern living. His database of international clients has encouraged him to broaden his knowledge and stretch his imagination blend western ideas with local materials. Villas Lavanda and Camelia were only completed in July 2007. Both have been thoughtfully designed to make the best of the given space both inside and out. It is in such a tranquil place high on the hillside where one can appreciate those cooling afternoon breezes.
The nearby village of Tsoukalades is a few minutes drive down the steep agricultural track. By foot it only takes 15 –
20 minutes, a healthy stroll to fetch bread and milk in the morning. This sleepy village still continues a traditional farming lifestyle with donkeys meandering around the streets, sheep grazing under the olive groves and the olive press in full flow during the winter months. During high season, the locals bump up their income by renting rooms and opening up a couple more tavernas. The food is traditional, locally produced and tasty. Lefkada town is a 10minute drive north or the pretty village of Agios Nikitas is a 10minute drive south passing the sandy/shingle beach of Pefkoulia. It is good to explore this lovely island by car, boat or on foot. There is a large fridge to keep the drinks cool and a lovely pool to bathe in whilst soaking in the glorious views. A B.B.Q one evening by the pool watching the sunset is a must!
