Accommodation:
Each apartment has: A large open plan living/dining /kitchen area (with full cooking facilities), French windows open onto a balcony or patio with patio furniture. 1 double bedroom and 1 twin bedroom. Family bathroom with bath/shower. (The Mandarin Tree also has a 2nd bathroom with shower.) SEA VIEWS.
Outside: A long private driveway descends past the accommodations to the water's edge. A private jetty to moor boats and a shingle beach. Planted flower beds, olive, fruit and cypress trees surround the land. The pathways are lit at night. Large communal B.B.Q. A tiled terrace with sunbeds surrounds the swimming pool and child's pool for all the guests to use; 2 WC's and 1 shower. Patio furniture.

It is very hard to find accommodation as spacious as these five individual apartments on a waterside location amid such peaceful surroundings, and encompassing such fabulous views. Each apartment has large bright rooms, simply but comfortably furnished. The accommodation is divided up into three houses, each one staggered on different levels and with patios and gardens between them. All have fabulous rural and sea views. There are only a couple of other private villas within the vicinity. Al though Fisherman's Retreat is off the beaten track, there is a mini-market and tavernas within a couple of kilometres. Take a torch if walking to the tavernas in the evening and strong shoes, as the track is rough in places. During the day you can stroll through some lovely countryside then reward yourself with a drink overlooking the Vlicho Bay. Alternatively, you can hire a boat in this idyllic location and chug around the coastline and moor up for a meal.

The owner Yiannis and his late wife Mary have enjoyed looking after their guests over the years. Yiannis contin ues to live on the premises and cares for the gardens and general maintenance of the properties. These accommodations were lovingly but laboriously hand built by bringing most of the materials by boat before the road was cut through. Built in 2004, the swimming pool has a surrounding tiled terrace to sunbathe, and a shower block. It is a wonderful place to relax and soak up the mesmerising views across the sea to the islands of Skorpios, Madouri and Meganissi. This is quite a busy stretch of water with ferries, fishing boats and yachts sailing past through-out the day. Just below the swimming pool is a little shingle beach that skirts around a small cove. It is nearly always deserted. There is also a private jetty for guests to moor their own hired boat and it is also used by Yiannis to keep his own fishing boat.

N.B. Our inclusive prices include a Group C car for the full duration of your stay and will be collected /returned to the airport. Boat hire is highly recommended and can be rented daily, weekly or for the full duration of your stay.
