Rooms: 18 bedrooms (mostly doubles some twins), French windows open onto a balcony, en-suite bathroom with shower. Every room has a fridge, a telephone, a radio, air conditioning and a hair dryer. Every balcony has patio furniture and sea views.

Outside:
At road level there are hotel parking bays. Three flights of steps descend to sea level, reception area and swimming pool with outside bar and seating. Jacuzzi and gym. Palm trees, olive trees, climbers and flower beds surround the hotel. A patio and terrace has sunbeds and patio furniture. These are surrounding the large swimming pool and child's pool. Lawns down to a private jetty and harbour.

This small, family run 3 star hotel is nestled on the edge of a verdant bay, in the rural location of Geni where gnarled olive trees shelter donkeys and sheep. Fertile allotments grow lots of spinach, tomatoes and carrots, keeping the cupboards filled for the locals. Narrow tracks and winding paths disappear into dense foliage then suddenly open onto a secluded cove or bay.

The Cleopatra Hotel has been built on a steep hillside and is accessed only by descending three flights of steps from the road to the reception/dining area, pool and jetty. Not for the faint-hearted. The bedrooms are bright and airy with uninterrupted views across the bay to the mountains that rise above the villages of Vlicho and the lively town of Nidri. The air-conditioned dining room has floor to ceiling windows that overlook the terrace and swimming pool. A continental style buffet breakfast is served, offering fresh bread rolls, cookies, eggs and plenty of tea and coffee, amongst other things. This can be enjoyed inside or outside on the terrace. The sizeable swimming pool also accommodates the children’s pool and there is a non-slip surround in natural stone. The patio is interspersed with palm trees, creating shade for those who wish to relax on a sunbed with a good book. A remarkably green lawn sweeps down to the water’s edge where the hotel’s private jetty extends into a shallow bay enabling you to moor your own boat.

We have included a car or a boat with each room booked at the Cleopatra Hotel. This really is the perfect location for seafarers. There are plenty of nooks and crannies to explore and a few islands to visit. Regular sightings of dolphins are excitedly reported each week. The occasional seal has been spotted in nearby caves, and a starfish or an octopus is worth diving down for. For the best sea swimming, take your little boat and a picnic, and chug down the coast to find your own cove. The best tavernas can be reached by boat, serving fresh fish of course. For those wishing to try their hand at sailing or other water sports, Nidri is not too far to offer these activities.

Although the hotel is on a bed and breakfast basis, you can enjoy walking along the road to one of the nearby tavernas for a light lunch or evening meal. All are within an easy 15 minutes walking distance. The larger resort of Nidri is about a 10-minute drive. The hotel is not recommended for the disabled.

N.B. Price includes a a Group C car or a 15hp boat with each room for the full duration of your stay. The cars will be collected/returned to the airport. Boats are delivered to the hotel and transfers to/from the airport will be provided.
