First floor: Main entrance from parking area, down a staircase to the ground floor.
Ground floor: Entrance from courtyard into a living/dining /kitchen area (full cooking facilities). The living area has a fireplace, and French windows that open onto a verandah. A breakfast bar separates the kitchen area from the open plan living/dining area. 1 twin/double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower, and French windows that open onto a balcony. Outside:
To the rear of the property is a courtyard with a large B.B.Q., a table and chairs. A path leads under an archway around the side of the house to the front. Small flights of steps join a number of patios on different levels. Patio furniture provided for sunbathing or relaxing in the shade. A path winds down from the villa to the sea where there is a private sunbathing platform with a ladder into the sea. There is a private infinity swimming pool, landscaped gardens and a gazebo. Just a 5-minute drive from Syvota village, Villa Althea sits amidst 5 acres of land named Dolphin Point on a cape at the end of a long driveway, soaking in the most amazing panoramic views.

The presumptuous name doesn’t come without merit. The owner spent many months here during the building of his villa, then lived in it and relaxed here once it was completed. He watched the yachts sailing to and from the harbour and gazed at the ever-changing light reflecting off the mountainous mainland with the rise and fall of the sun. However, no matter what else the day would bring, most days it brought the dolphins to play and feed in the bay below. It is one of the spectacular sights Lefkada has to offer. Although you can swim in the sea directly from the villa, also within a 15-minute drive there are the bays of Syvota and Vassiliki. Both are natural harbours for the fishermen and sailors and they offer all amenities, tavernas, shops and mini-markets. Walking to the village wouldn’t be too difficult and reasonably shady under the olive groves. The donkeys are bound to announce your arrival and the locals will give a friendly wave.

The accommodation is so well presented with all the comforts needed for total relaxation. Inside, the living area has comfortable furniture, coffee tables and a dining suite. The bedrooms have plenty of cupboard space and multipurpose beds that zip together for a double, or parted for twins. Outside, there is a courtyard with a B.B.Q. and dining table. This cosy corner is a great place to dine, offering shade from the sun and shelter from the afternoon breezes.

Natural stone has been used to build walls, patios and dress stone around the villa. Subtle lighting guides the way down the driveway and around the patios at night and the pool becomes surreal against a dusk sky. This is such an idyllic place for those seeking tranquillity, to chill out with friends or for families with older children that want time and space to themselves.

N.B. Our villa price also includes a Group C car for the full duration of your stay and will be collected/returned to the airport. A complimentary welcome food hamper will be in your villa on arrival.
